ABOUT
The idea is simple. New Step makes world class theatre that is joyous, surprising and celebrates human experience. We perform our shows in professional theatres and then take those shows out to communities and perform them in whichever space is best - it could be a boxing gym, a community centre, a warehouse... anywhere.
Based in Liverpool, New Step is a theatre company for change. We tell the tales that need that need to be told, by the people who need to tell them, in the places they need to be heard. A collaboration between director Nathan Powell and playwright Joe Ward Munrow, it's a new step for theatre.
